Overview
At Pathways Academy, our tutoring services offer individualized support to meet the needs of each student. We understand that everyone learns differently and requires different tools along their pathway to success. We believe that education and learning should be learner-driven and therefore, our tutoring sessions start with the student.
We endeavor to help students see the value in learning by showing them how learning materials can relate to and have meaning in their lives. Our tutoring services help students succeed whether they require extra support for the material they are learning in class, or are looking to extend their learning.
We place a lot of value on critical thinking skills. Critical thinking skills help individuals engage in reflective and independent thinking and become active learners, rather than passively receive information. One way we do this is by using project-based learning, where students use concepts and ideas learned in class or tutoring sessions to answer complex questions or help solve real-world problems.
We strive to be flexible, and therefore offer our tutoring services online or in-person.
